Summary This specialist course will develop the student to a level of creative graphic design ability, allowing the opportunity to apply for trainee positions within the graphic design industry, as well as being a nationally recognised route into Higher Education. This is a full time course and students will be expected to attend College on at least 3 days per week with 2 days home study.
Qualifications A National Diploma in Graphic Design awarded in conjunction with BTEC
Progression Routes This course qualifies you for progression into Higher National Diploma and BA (Hons) Degree courses in graphic design and related studies, or to employment opportunities within graphic design, advertising industry or illustration/publishing.
Modules 18 Units
Entry Requirements The entry requirements are four GCSEs at Grade C or above, a BTEC First Diploma or GNVQ Intermediate Art and Design. A current portfolio of work demonstrating creative ability will also be required. Entry qualifications may be waived for those students with an exceptional portfolio. Through the accreditation of prior learning it is possible to enter direct to the second year of this course.
Course Content This course is designed to give the students a broad creative approach to the world of Graphic Design using Apple Macs and develop the personal and visual skills which will enable future career choices to be made. Students will have access to a range of professional standard hardware and software, including Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver and Premier.

    The other thing you can do is look online for your area or the yellowpages see if any local on site comptuer companys give traing on computers in your home or at their shop.
    I have a computer constuling business and I do that for my home users I go to their house and work with them one on one to show them how to use their Apple machine or their windows machine email os web and so on I charge like 25Hr for a service like that also check your local library I know in my town they do that as well give free computer classes on both mac and pc.
