What is the highest software upgrade for an Apple iBook G3 Clamshell Mac OS 9.0 computer?

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

So what the highest possible upgrade?

You can upgrade it to Mac OS10.4 Tiger, if you first upgrade to Mac OS 9.2, and upgrade the memory.

I just received a iMAC G3 computer…….need assistance, wont turn on …..?

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

I received a iMAC G3 computer, when I got home, I plugged it in and tunred it on. Then when it was on, I unplugged it from the outlet. NOW, it wont turn on at all. When the power cord is connected to the pc and the outlet, I do hear a soft noise coming from the computer, when I unplug the cord, the sound goes away. WTF is wrong with this thing? Any ideas?

Pulling the plug to turn off a Mac is not recommended as you have seen the result of what might and did happen. That being said, try the troubleshooting steps found here.

If that doesn’t get your iMac running, you can find support here.
