It depends on how many watts they are, they vary from machine to machine , but generally a power supply is about $50 machintosh being specialised could be more if you require an engineer to fit it, if it isnt still under warrenty. However, there are plenty of competent people capable of doign it if they can get the parts, Machintosh generaly only sell to licenced agents.

That depends on the model – the fastest one used a 58W battery while the slowest model used a 50W battrery.
One needs a more powerful transformer – 75W or 100W will handle the Laptop.
The computer turns on , then chimes and then apple and spinner appear. After 5 or ten minutes it turns on. Then a black/grey box appears and the screen darkens. It says to restart the computer. The pointer is frozen. I started up with hardware test CD and every thing checked out ok. What should I do?

I have activated the bluetooth in my Apple G4 Laptop computer but I don’t know how to turn it off. The bluetooth icon disappear from the tool bar. I’m having problem with many incoming files from mobile phones sent thru bluetooth. Please help!!
If you are running OSX go to the top left corner of the screen click on the apple, go down to System Preferences, click that, find Bluetooth under "hardware" click on the bluetooth, click on settings, then click "bluetooth off"….and your done
The computer is the type that comes in just one piece, what I meaned is the tower and monitor together and it has an slot where you put the DVD but I don’t know how to open it.
All you have to do is press the eject key on the keyboard, or drag the CD onscreen into the trash. The CD will just pop out. There is no button to press.

My Apple G4 iMac flat panel computer will not start. Chimes, then gray screen, then flashing question mark. To boot from install disc, I need to open the CD tray, but no luck. Is there a way to make the CD tray open, maybe from a command prompt or, something?

There is a tiny hole near the open button. Push a straightened paper clip into this hole with the power off.
My computer is a few years old and I don’t know if it will support wifi. I don’t have an airport card, but I have built-in ethernet and firewire. The wifi company says they can rent me an ethernet adaptor which will work for wifi. Does my system support wifi? Do I need to download new settings? (I have OSX installed) How do I go about setting it up?
Yes your system is capable of using a wireless LAN. I would suggest you purchase a USB type 802.11n wireless adapter. USB type are the simplest to install.
You can also just get a wireless router and connect an Ethernet cable from the router to your G4. This way you can use the wireless with your Laptop and the wired with the desktop.
You connect your cable or DSL modem directly to the wireless router using an Ethernet cable that is provided with the cable or DSL modem. Connect that to the WAN or Internet port of the wireless router.
my best friend’s grandmother has a apple g4 computer (the matching desktop, keyboard, mouse, and tower) but the tower is dead. my step-father would be able to fix it but how much do you think i would have to pay for all of it including the broken tower.
