In the UK will i get a ticket or points for driving around with cracked glass on my side mirror?

its just the glass thats broken not the unit

You could get a ticket but it is unlikley. You are more likley to get a rectification form that requires you to have the fault rectified and then examined at an MOT testing station within two weeks.
