I’m asking so that I may know the compatibility with other versions.

G3 processors are the PC equivalents to the Pentium II and Pentium III processors. They’re a bit outdated. Most models support Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger but not 10.5 Leopard and definitely not 10.6 Snow Leopard.

They’re still usable in the usual light tasks such as internet browsing and Microsoft Office / iWork.
