I got a used Ibook G4 over the weekend and there isn’t much free space on it. So I am wondering how to delete everything the previous user had on the iBook. This is my first time having a mac so I don’t know much about it. Help please? Thanks!

It may be just a small hard drive. Look in the Documents Folder. That’s like My Documents. Also, Check Applications. There may be Programs (Applications) that you don’t believe you will ever use. If not, just drag them to the Trash Bin. Check Music, Movies, etc. You may want to invest in a program called Spring Cleaning, it’s relatively Cheap and will assist in cleaning up loose files. Generally, Mac OS doesn’t need this like Windows does but there’s still clutter.
For routine scheduled maintenance, try Macaroni, very cheap and runs in the background without affecting ny of your usage. Another key program you may need periodically is Disk Warrior. Before you get more apps, I would get a Mac OSX book that gives an overview of where things are and how it works vs Windows. I believe the Apple website has an overview too.
