1999 at the very least, which is also the copyright date of this commercial as shown in the beginning.
And this was Mac OS 9, at least a year before a consumer version of Mac OS 10 (the “X” is a roman numeral) was even in beta testing.
FYI, and please do not take this the wrong way, but there’s no such thing as “OS X System 9″ for the same reason there’s no such thing as “Windows XP Millennium Edition”.

ha ha Mac OS X …
ha ha Mac OS X leopard cant run on a PowerPC g3 processor there are crucial bits of things missing from the cpu able to run it so your just so wrong, unless your using an early test build, before the new U.I was implemented

that was a mistake …
that was a mistake that apple made with the original ibook g3’s but when they re-made the ibooks to look like the ibook g4’s they fixed that logo problem
