I’m not too clued up on computers but is it worth getting a new hard drive or more ram or whatever, or would buying a new computer be cheaper? It’s not my main computer but i’ll be taking my new MacBook away to uni so my mum needs one, but the powerbook is just useless at the moment!
It is possible for you to upgrade your operating system to make it a little faster.
If this doesn’t work then you could try looking for a cheap Laptop on ebay or mabye amazon, but i would advise you to buy it new.
My 6 year old PowerBook is getting very slow. Is there anything i can do?

Slow, like performance slow? I bought an iBook G3 and it seems fast, 880 mHz, just depends on your computer proccessor speed, which is unchangable, and all RAM does is how fast a program goes, like a professional runner verses a middle school runner. And RAM does is just have program run smoothly, it may be just aging.
