How do you connect your Laptop to your television?

So that I can see my desktop etc on my tv screen. My laptop is relatively new, I’ve had it about 8 months as is my tv..it’s not HD but is widescreen etc.
Do I need to buy a special cable or what?
Any help would be great, thanks!

You will need a VGA cable. After connecting them, press F4 or look for the monitor drawing.

EMac Laptop Computers
i need help in choosing a computer?

ok i have a bit of a delema, christmas is coming soon and my mom told me she would buy me a eMac off of ebay ( i love macs and i asked) but here i am- i have a imac g3, compaq presario from like 1999 and a custom desctop pc thats slow and has major cosmetic isues (nasty white plastic turned yellow som cracks, not the best to be proud of) and so i need a lap top and a gaming machine and yes i MUST have a mac, but what to do?
bottom line:
-I am a media type person
burning dvd’s cd’s
watching movies
play games (sims 2, gta san andreas)
internet (bigtime! i am always on myspace, youtube, pplaylist, ect.)
school work (ms word. excel, etc.)
i also like to make websites

The games you play don’t require a highend gaming laptop I would just pick out a simple multimedia laptop that has vista on it from Best Buy or other computer stores..

Dell Laptop Ac Adapter/ charger wont charge?

Okay my Dell D620 Laptop ac adapter/ charger will not charge it says ” The AC power adapter type cannot be determined. Your system will operate slower and the battery will not charge. Please connect a Dell 65W adapter or a higher for best system operation.” I can’t go on ebay and buy one tonight and get it tonight, i need to fix this as soon as possible so is there any way to fix it? a cheat a hack? anything on the computer to make it charge? Sorry, there is no way . You can however use another laptop to charge the battery then swap the battery to your laptop to power it like that. But if you do that, the might as well use the other charger too! There is no cheat to get around it, its damaged internally (chip inside the adapter) so theres no way to get it fixed. With your time frame, its not worth it. But for your charger I can help out a bit.
