Here’s my new PowerBook! Even though I love my little G4, it needs to shape up in the power department! My battery goes wakko (Animaniac geeks will laugh at that) all the time and the power adapter rarely charges the computer. So I’m probably going to be taking my little G4 in to my Apple Authorized Reseller or whatever they are called these days and have them take a look at it and see if a new battery/adapter is in charge. I wish my little Powerbook didn’t have these problems! GAH! Plus all technology hates me today, but that video is still in the editing portion so you should see it soon…

Apple Mac OS X Lion
Will mac os x lion be available on new macs after the release date?

I am considering buying a mac for college, but I am thinking it would be wise to get one after Apple does all the major upgrades such as the new Mac OS X Lion. But I was wondering if it will be available on the new macs after the release of Mac OS X Lion.

Well, First off let me say/confirm that the cut off date to get a free upgrade to Mac OS X Lion is June 6, 2011. (Below I’ve included a link to Apple’s OS X Lion Press release. Scroll down 2nd to last paragraph.) Now I must state that Mac OS X Lion IS considered to be a new “major” upgrade. The fact is to an average Mac user it doesn’t seem like one since the UI for the most part hasn’t dramatically changed for the past 2 upgrades. Nonetheless, its worthy and since its already past the 6th its free. NOTE: If you purchase a Mac before July’s OS X Lion release be sure to register it when you get it(when you setup the Mac it will tell you to register) within a week.

Now Rernalda L is right about waiting as late as possible to purchase a New Mac since refreshes occur every few months. Below I’ve also included a link to a site that keeps track of each Mac Upgrade and estimates when the next will occur. It also states advice such as when its time to buy and when to hold off. If you are looking at a MacBook Air rumors have been circulating for next weeks release. If you’re in the market for a Desktop the iMac was just updated. Everything else will be updated sometime between next week and, as Rernalda L stated, sometime in October.

Ibook G4 Problem
Ibook G4 Problems! Please Help!!!?

Ok, It all started while I tried to have 2 OS in my Ibook G4, Mac OS 10.3 and Mac OS X Leopard. I installed it both operating systems in 2 portions of the hard-drive. Although it didn’t work, I just deleted everything and just left it with One operating system. I left it with Mac OS 10.3.4. It worked fine after i installed it, no problems. I turned off my iBook G4. The next day i tried to turn it on, it would get stuck on the screen with the Apple Symbol, and the little circle under the apple symbol just wouldn’t pop up. I then tried pushing Command+Alt+P+R to organize files or to “automaticly fix it” It didn’t fix it! So now, my Laptop won’t work at all. What’s wrong with it? Is it the hard-drive from Sea Gate?

You messed up MacOs 10.3. Insert the CD that has MacOs 10.3 on it and do a restart holding down the “c” key. Once it starts up, try running the disk utility program and have it repair your hard drive and repair the permissions. If that doesn’t work, then reinstall MacOs 10.3. If you don’t have MacOs 10.3, then try doing that from the Leopard DVD.
Don’t try putting two MacOS on the iBook again.
